Buying pre-owned should be as easy as buying new. Here is the whole process, including holds, storage and returns.

Every item is inspected and any issue is disclosed on its page, so there are no surprises. Not sure? Ask us about it before you buy.
- Step 2
Pay, or make an offer
Pay up front through our secure checkout, or tell us what you'd pay. We reply quickly with an acceptance or a counter.
- Step 3
Collect within 10 days
Pick up from our warehouse in Arlington, VA. We hold your item free for 10 days; after that storage is $2 a day for small items and $10 a day for large.
- Step 4
7-day returns
Return anything within 7 days in the condition you received it. Local delivery and shipping are coming.
Paying
Three ways to buy.
- Buy now. Pieces with a "Buy now" button check out online with a card. Your pickup instructions arrive by email.
- Reserve. Click "Reserve this piece" and we send a secure payment link within a business day. The piece is held for you while you pay.
- Make an offer. Tell us what you'd pay. Reasonable offers get a yes or a counter within one business day.
Collecting
Pickup, holds and storage.
- Pick up from our warehouse in Arlington, VA. The exact address and a window come with your payment confirmation.
- We hold every purchase free for 10 days.
- After 10 days, storage is $2 a day for small items (under 20 cubic feet) and $10 a day for large ones, payable before pickup.
- After 30 days uncollected, The Loft may take possession and donate the item without a refund. Need longer? Message us when you buy.
- Local delivery and national shipping are coming. Until then, pickup only.

Where do I pick up?
From our warehouse in Arlington, VA. We send the exact address and a pickup window once your payment clears. Bring help for large pieces; we can assist with loading.
Do you deliver or ship?
Local delivery and national shipping are coming. Until then, everything is pickup only. Delivery fees, once arranged, are non-refundable.
What's the return policy?
Every item has a 7-day return policy. Items are sold as-is after inspection and disclosure, but if something turns out to have undisclosed damage (large appliances we cannot hook up during inspection, for example), that 7-day window covers you.
